Bravo, Small Business
I don't think small businesses have gotten the respect they deserve this past year. Sure, the government's willing to bail out AIG, Citi and Bank of America, but those companies only account for a fraction of the GDP in this country. It's the nation's 23 million or so small businesses that are putting food on the table for 60 million Americans. So why did we bail out AIG again?
Collectively, small businesses create 70% of our new jobs and account for half of our GDP. With unemployment rising, lines of credit frozen and foreclosures still rocking our economic landscape, I have one question for our financial gurus: Why aren't you helping out the entrepreneurs?
