Sugar rush
For the past two-and-a-half years, I've been trying very hard to watch my sugar intake. It tastes good, don't get me wrong. But with the higher levels of diabetes, I think it's important to be aware of how much we get every day. No, I do not like the fake sweeteners. At all. They taste fake. My plan has always been to cut way back on my consumption. That works. Sort of.
Yogurt is one of my biggest pet peeves. Does a 6 ounce container of yogurt really need 20 grams of sugar? That's like adding five teaspoons of the white stuff to your bowl. Five teaspoons!!
Would it really be so hard to cut back on the amount of sugar dumped into things? Ttake out a quarter and see if people notice. I bet people start feeling better, have more energy for the entire day. It would be nice to see some positive, healthy choices come from conventional foods. Just cut some of the sugar. Please.
